So big reveal in the last episode: Lloyd and Simon are working together, and it appears that they caused the blackout.

We open with Al narrating a letter to a woman named “Celia”, who has twin boys. He acknowledges that she didn’t have a flash forward and we see her find a photocopy of a blue hand on her windshield. On the front is a website address and on the back it says “we know you are already one of us”, indicating that people in this group knows they’re going to die.

Zoey comes downstairs to greet Demetri before she heads off to work and tells him to meet her at the printer’s after work to pick out wedding invitations. Demetri is actually browsing the site on Celia’s photocopy www.alreadyghosts.com.

At the Benford house, Olivia and Mark are trying to reassure each other that they trust each other, but we all know that’s crap.

At work, Al, Demetri and Mark are riding in the elevator discussing how it’s a “brave new world” out there. They’re showing Mark the body of the guys and girl Demetri and Al found in the warehouse in the last episode (the blue handed guys). The ME says the people died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, but that seems weird. Al says that one of them is Ian Rutherford, and Mark recognizes the name (as the “Rutherford case”) from Al’s flash.

Aaron arrives at work to find a guy who served in the arm with his daughter waiting to talk to him. Mike Willingham announces himself and apologizes for not coming sooner. He says he promised Tracy if anything happened to her, he would give Aaron her swiss army knife. Aaron flashes to his....flash. In the flash, Aaron hands Tracy the very same knife. Aaron tells Mike he believes Tracy is still alive.

Stan, Dem, Al and Mark are discussing the dead bodies when Fiona walks in from Scotland Yard. Al seems very disturbed by her appearance. Dem says he cross-referenced the dead people’s visions on Mosaic and they’re all ghosts - people who didn’t see anything in their flashes. Dem shows the others the Ghost website. Stan thinks the guy who show Janis is part of the Ghost club and Dem announces that someone named Dr. Raynaud will be holding a meeting tonight, but there’s just a cryptic message online about the location.

Fiona is giving Al more information about Rutherford, but Al says he’s already seen the file. Fiona says in her flash they saw the bird crash into the window and then Al got a phone call and left while she went to look at the bird. She asks what the phone call was about and Al says it was his attorney. We see that he told his attorney “I killed her”, but lies about that to Fiona.

Zoey comes home (they have a super nice apartment!) and she’s very pissed at Dem. Turns out he missed the appointment to pick out wedding invitations. She doesn’t understand why he’s been so cagey since the blackout. He doesn’t tell her the truth and they get into a huge fight and he walks out.

Nicole is volunteering at Olivia’s hospital and Bryce comes by to talk to her. Olivia introduces Bryce to Nicole. A Japanese woman comes by the nurses’ station, complaining about flowers. The nurse doesn’t understand what she’s saying, but we learn that Nicole speaks Japanese.

Mark, Dem and Al are going undercover to the Ghosts meeting and find the warehouse where it’s being held. A scary looking bouncer stamps their hand and lets them into the meeting. An old man comes in to greet the trio and puts a gun out o the table. He asks “who’s gonna play?” Play what? A little Russian Roulette. The man plays a round but the other boys aren’t interested. Until Al tries it too. The man welcomes them to the Blue Hand.

The boys go inside the main room and find out that the “Raynaud” changes at each gathering, so they ask for the one for tonight. A lady says “you’ll know him when you see him”. Mark finds a book of matches that he recognizes from his board. The lady says there’s something for everyone at these parties and we hear a lion roar.

Lloyd goes to talk to Olivia in her office to thank her for what she did for Dylan. Lloyd assures her that he will never come between her and Mark.

Nicole explains to Bryce that she learned Japanese as a kid when her dad was stationed at Okinawa. He shows her a sketch of a symbol he saw in his flash. The symbol is on a shirt of a woman. Nicole recognizes the symbol as “kanji” - a Japanese letter that means “believe”.

Mike approaches Aaron later that night at the worksite. He says Aaron deserves to know the truth about what he saw in his vision. He says his flash isn’t possible. He recounts being in the humvee when Tracy died. Mike bailed out of the humvee just as a rocket is launched, but Tracy didn’t make it out. He found her body, but she was missing part of her leg. He tells Aaron he saw her die.

Back at the Blue Hand party people are acting totally crazy - getting electrocuted and fighting like animals. Dem suspects they have nothing to lose - since they’ll be dead anyways. A man with a blue hand comes in front of the crowd and puts a gun to his own throat. Mark, Dem and Al start arresting people and shouting “FBI!”.

Mark and the others have Reynaud back at the FBI office and are questioning him. Raynaud says they find all these “ghosts” on the Mosaic site. Dem shows him a photo of one of the dead Blue Hands who shot Janis. Raynaud doesn’t much care about consequences, since the future WILL happen.

Al goes to chat with Fiona and invites her for dinner. She declines, claiming jet lag.

Mark is adding more evidence to his board. Dem admits he knows the exact date of his murder - March 15 - which gives him time to prepare. Mark thinks he should fight it, but Dem says everything in Mark’s vision is coming true and believes his will as well.

Back at home, the Benfords are watching a cartoon together. Olivia heads off to bed, leaving Charlie and Mark to finish up.

Al is making some dinner at home by himself.

Dem returns home with some pastries for Zoey. He tells her he lied about his flash and says he’s actually going to die. But Zoey is confident that she say their wedding and doesn’t believe his flash. She says they can choose which one of their conflicting visions to believe in and wants to choose hers. He says “you’re right”, but his face shows differently.

Aaron tells Mike that he’s now feeling peace after hearing Mike’s story and wants to return the favor: he helped Mike find a job.

Nicole is at Bryce’s apartment and she compliments his artistic talent. He’s drawn a lot of photos of the woman in the sketch, but he can’t find her. She tells him to put the story up on Mosaic.

Al arrives at work and puts an envelope addressed to Demetri on Dem’s desk. He greets Mark and Dem and then goes off.

Stan, Fiona and Dem meet to discuss Reynaud. Dem reads the letter Al left for him. It’s a letter addressed to Celia and there’s a note that says “There’s always a way out”. As Al walks through the halls we hear what his attorney said on the phone call: he was at the hospital and they took a woman off life support and now she’s dead. Dem starts looking alarmed as he reads the letter. Back on the phone, we hear the attorney say the woman’s kids will have to be placed in foster care. He says Celia’s death was an accident, but Al believes it’s his fault and he killed her. We see Al on the roof as Dem stops the meeting.

Dem rushes up to the roof and tries to stop him. Dem says that Al is alive six months from now, but Al says if he’s not alive, then he can change the future. Al jumps off the roof and Dem, Mark, Stan and Fiona are devastated.

And that is it. Al makes a point: you can change the future. This also occurred in the book: someone who had been alive in their flash died shortly after the blackout, proving that the future could be changed.

Dem reads the letter Al wrote to Celia. In it he tells Celia that her situation is not hopeless and things have changed now. We seen the various characters contemplating their futures and, most importantly, see Simon fingering a bracelet with the name “Annabelle”. We see Celia happy with her boys.

Aaron arrives home and gasps when he see his daughter Tracy, alive.
